Hi The new riser is actually stainless steel, but if you like it could be painted black.

PJB has shed some light on the Suplex shocks in another thread

1. Rising spring rate with a main spring and a 'spring assist' on the damper rod. So a soft initial rate to reduce 'kickback' then stiffens in bump and cornering to reduce 'bump steer'.
2. Rebound spring incorporated in the damper to reduce roll by not allowing the inner wheel on hard corners to droop, thus also reducing 'roll steer'.
3. Adjustable main spring so that the designated ride height can be set for all weights of passenger to ensure rebound spring is just kissing at static ride height.
4. Adjustable damper bump & rebound together.
Should be good - regards PJB

Any idea when or if the factory started installing this suspension set up on all production M3Ws? LarryS

Hi Larry S,

Sorry its taken a while for me to reply but I needed to find out from the factory when the modification to the new cars had taken place.
Basically I am told that cars on build now have the modified steering set up.
Regards David

Have you driven the 2014 3W as well as the existing model fitted with the "Comfort Pack"? The parts look quite different...
