Alternatively Roger, you might want to check this…

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Audible-Flashe...=item3382c7738f

I fitted this some time ago, direct replacement for a 3 pin.

If the buzzer is not loud enough you can carefully drill the casing to let more sound out, and tape up drillings to quieten down until just right, regards john k

Thanks John. Lots of options here.
Roger.

I tried one of these flasher units but it buzzed continously. Does anyone know why. If it works it is a very simple solution.

Hi John R, presumably the flasher relay fits in a 3 pin block so unlikely to be wired wrong. If the buzzer is the same as the link then can only think the unit is faulty?

Is it exactly the same make / type? and was it located in the block, thats all i can think of, need an electrical wizards advice i reckon.

Mine works as it should and i would guess your wiring same as mine.

Hi John K,

Yes the flasher relay fitted straight into the three pin socket and it really surprised me that it did not work. That is why I went to the CBS's kit, which, although straight forward, required a bit of wiring and soldering.
