Seriously though a 4 wheel version of the M3W would be the perfect entry level Morgan but I fear meeting car, rather than bike type approval regs would kill the idea.
BUT a kit car based on the M3W could work.

What you have already is a unique vehicle. Making a MkII version dilutes the ethos & would turn something original into a softened pastiche. Don't you see?

Everything discussed so far can be broken down into two columns; quality control issues and personal wish lists.

I'm as happy as the next owner with ensuring quality issues are fixed, but the wish lists are all achievable by the owner if they feel that's important TO THEM.

The saying that a camel is a horse designed by a committee is never so prevalent than reading through these comments.

I hope Morgan continue to improve customer inclusion & quality issues, but I hope they and us realise that what we have with the M3W is living, current, history in the making.

So many people hold the car up as an aspirational purchase, something that whilst they may not be able to afford or make the use of at this stage in their lives, it's something on their personal bucket list.

To change too much will change that ideal.

Now....who's going to be the first to trim their car in 1970's acrylic fur..??

...or at least change the present Toytown set of instruments that are illegible most of the time. One of the funniest photos on this site shows a light that some ingenious 3W owner has rigged up. At first glance, I thought it must be for reading maps, but no: it's to illuminate the rev counter!

And it would be nice to have a fuel gauge that was at least vaguely useful.

Unique? Original? Not really. The thing that differs from the others is the partially wood frame and the all aluminium body work. Other than that Morgan has had the resources to get European conformity approval and get the vehicle marketed all over the world.

I also think you need to add a third column to your list and that is design problems.

Oh Peter, of course it's unique; where else in the world can I go and buy one? I agree that a three wheeled design isn't unique or original, but the M3W is certainly a unique vehicle.

My previous comments referred to the fact that to change the M3W far beyond the design brief makes it non-original.
