If you only use 1 bolt/rivet at each connection the whole arrangement will articulate and take up any movement in the mudguard. There is very little anyway.

This is a priority 1 "to do" item on my list as soon as I get my car. Tbh I don't understand why MMC doesn't fit a proper mudguard to the back wheel.

I suppose they think we like the "do it yourself" approach to car ownership! grin2
