Im sure if you start a new thread entitled "register", everyone on TM would be happy to put their details in, I would anyway.

My order, agreed earlier this week, has been formally placed. I just met with the dealer to sort a few final details, sign a few papers and make the agreed down payment. Will visit the factory early next March to tailor my order with Mark Ledington (as I did with the Plus Four back in 2009). Build to happen in July, I'll be picking the car myself there in August. (I'm a bit worried with the "service intervals" thread, it takes about 2.500 kms to bring the car home, how can I "service" the car on the way?) Wish me luck

So, have I got this right..? You've spent tens of thousands of EuroPounds on a brand new car & you're wanting luck to drive 2500km..?

I'm a bit worried with the "service intervals" thread, it takes about 2.500 kms to bring the car home, how can I "service" the car on the way?) Wish me luck You just have to be very very quick with the spanners...or you could stop to do the service. Seriously though, it might be worth arranging to spend a day or two getting some miles on it and getting a first service done at the factory (or a co-operative dealer) to get any post pdi niggles and adjustments sorted out before leaving the country. I don't think that having the "first" service a bit early will matter at all and if need be doing an extra oil and filter change to be on the safe side on the way home is pretty trivial. And congratulations...enjoy the new toy!

So, have I got this right..? You've spent tens of thousands of EuroPounds on a brand new car & you're wanting luck to drive 2500km..? What's the money I spend got to do with anything? I'll tell you what, I'm picking the car in August, driving it for 2500 kms or more and when I'm done with the driving I'm about to start the racing, first hillclimb this particular M3W will do will happen in the first weekend of September, when the car is barely 2 months old. Now i don't ask for luck with the racing (I beg, lol) but this list sure worries me: - Engine Oil & Filter Change at 50, 500, 2,500 miles (80, 800, 4,000 kilometers), every 2,500 miles (4,000 kilometers) thereafter.1
- Air Cleaner Element Inspect at 50 and 500 miles (80 and 800 kilometers), every 2,500 miles (4,000 kilometers) thereafter.2 Replace every 5,000 miles (8,000 kilometers).
- Timing Belt Inspect every 10,000 miles (16,000 kilometers). Replace every 30,000 miles (48,000 kilometers).
- Fuel Lines & Fittings, Vacuum Lines, Evaporative Lines Inspect at 50 and 500 miles (80 and 800 kilometers), every 2,500 miles (4,000 kilometers) thereafter.
- Fuel Tank Filter Screen & In-Line Fuel Filter (If used) Inspect every 5,000 miles (8,000 kilometers).
- Engine Idle Speed Non-adjustable. Inspect every 2,500 miles.
- Operation of Throttle & Controls Inspect at 500 miles (800 kilometers) and every 2,500 miles (4,000 kilometers) thereafter.
- Spark Plugs Inspect every 5,000 miles (8,000 kilometers). Replace every 10,000 miles (16,000 kilometers) or as needed.
- Ignition Timing Non-adjustable. Inspect every 5,000 miles.
- Engine Mounts Inspect at 500 miles (800 kilometers) and every 5,000 miles (8,000 kilometers) thereafter.
- External Fasteners Except Engine Head Bolts Re-torque at 500 miles (800 kilometers) and every 5,000 miles (8,000 kilometers) thereafter.
1- S&S recommends that petroleum-based oil not specifically formulated for motorcycles should be changed every 1,000 miles (1,600 kilometers) after the break-in period. 2- Replace more frequently if required or if engine is operated in a dusty environment. So ... I will do as Calum (RedThree) suggests and will tal to Mr. Ledington about having the 50 miles service done in the factory (they can drive it for 50 miles or I will, no big deal about it and another day in Malvern is not a waste, quite the contrary I loved it last time) Still ... according to the list above I should change the engine oil and filter again at 500 miles/800 kms, and inspect the Air Cleaner Element, Fuel Lines & Fittings, Vacuum Lines, Evaporative Lines, Operation of Throttle & Controls, Engine Mounts and External Fasteners Except Engine Head Bolts Re-torque ... Of course I can simply NOT do it before arriving to Portugal. And that's what I'll probably do. Hence the ... "wish me luck" EDITStop at Toulouse Marcassus is à morgan agent I'm still undecided on the route we'll take but maybe Toulouse is too far to the East for me. If however we decide to a detour more "into" France I'll keep that in mind thank you!
