It's been nearly 2 weeks and the rain keeps coming...
Time to put the battery on charge: there will come a day when I want the Aldermog to spring into life....
How many people here regularly put the battery on charge?

I put mine on to charge if I have not had the car out in a week to 10 days.

I have to, otherwise it won't start after a week of standing idle. The legacy of a car that's done less than 800 miles in 4 years I think! A new battery in 2014 for peace of mind I think.

Morning Peter.
My battery conditioner is on 24/7. When I did forget a few weeks back - flat battery when I went to take the Roadster out! Apparently, conditioner keeps battery in good order.
Cheers - David.

PS- Should have mentioned - Get "umbilical" fitted to run into engine bay for easy charging - if battery access challenging!
Cheers

I use the following: http://batterytender.com/battery-tender-plus-12v-at-1-25a.htmlUsed them for years to keep vehicle batteries up to par at all times. Have leads permanently attached to battery so when I pull into garage, all that is needed is to connect the tender to the leads, and the battery will be maintained. When ready to go on the next outing; just unplug, start up, and go. Battery is always in top shape. Have had batteries last 7 + years using this method. I am sure they are, or a similar product is available in the UK.

I use one all the time. I wired in a direct charging lead WITH inline fuse! Keeps Moggie in readiness!
Cheers!

I use a CTEK through the cigarette lighter socket if the Mog is not driven for more than about two weeks. I do the same with my Elise, and it still has the original battery of 2006, still in good condition.

I use wired in CTEK (with in line fuse) as soon as I park up. I found the connection via the cigar lighter connection was intermittent.

Just purchased a Ctek for the winter but still uncomfortable about connecting my ECU to the national grid. So for the sake of a tenner will be adding an anti-surge protector to knock any potential mains spikes on the head.
