I've managed to disconnect my speed limiting device, remove it from the car, and leave it at home. I found there was unwanted noise and harshness from the passenger seat area, the car certainly runs much better without it.

 likes driving mine, be careful what you wish for. She just bought me a retro leather jacket for anniversary so clearly wants me to keep it. Been has a union flag badge sewn on!

disconnecting battery ? I have not started mine in over a month with temps down below 20f & it started right up . I will try again tomarrow after I dig out the trailer from snow about3ft deep drift has been below zero the last couple days here in mich. will head south soon !!!

To improve it? How about replacing the american engine with one from Japan or even the MotoGuzzi V twin?

What's wrong with the S&S engine ? It seems great to me and really suits the car .

I agree, it does define the car, but I know that at least one dealer [who had better remain nameless] thinks that it is too big and harsh for the chassis. That doesn't bother me though, I love it and all its' little vibrations.
