This is a great idea Paul, I'm hoping that when I get around to moving my pedals forward, that the left leg bend will be less of an issue.

Hi PaulJ & Dab,
Those finding the restricted width in the pedal area a problem might want to consider removing the accelerator and moving the brake and clutch assembly over to the right. Then fit a hand throttle to a steering wheel spoke like the twin cylinder cars had back in the day. This would create space for the left foot when it is at rest and add a touch of retro.
Do keep in mind that back then there was only three quarters of a turn from one lock to the other; I suspect the 5-speed cars have lower gearing which could cause a cable problem.

Try running that past your insurance company...
Also, I think coping with the throttle, gearchange and steering would require at least one more hand.

If you had bought a new twin cylinder Morgan eighty years ago you would have had three levers on the steering wheel, two concentric for the throttle and choke operated by the right thumb and another on the left side for ignition advance and retard. With a hand throttle and just two pedals hill starts were a doddle, but the three speed gearbox had no synchromesh so double declutching was essential and to add to the excitement the front brakes were operated from the central lever, only the rear by the pedal.
I don't know, kids today......

So in response to Paul's idea...I moved my pedals to the most forward position today. It now appears that the accelerator could be slightly blocked from full extension by a screw in the right foot well wall. Obviously this is a problem only in LHD cars...fascinating design feature  While positioning the assembly while moving it, I don't see any room at all for repositioning further to the right (in LHD cars...) I'll probably move the assembly to the "next to last" position (I was being lazy and didn't feel like drilling those holes at the time) - that should at least fix that issue...
