Has anyone used one of these before?

http://www.williamspartsshop.co.uk/product/Wind_Blocker_windblock#.UsmAM4Vuryw

Next year I'll be driving from London to Southern
Gremany in a day for a wedding (Mrs Marcos is flying), it's going to be the best part of a 1000 miles. We'll then tour Europe for a week before meeting up with another group and touring France before camping at Classic Le Mans. A big ask of a little car smile

Is this a) going to make long-distance life easier and b) not take up any space?

As you can imagine, space will be EXTRMELY TIGHT! I have an MMC suitcase and the Hillsalive bags so am storing as much as I can; will probably get the sidescreen storing luggage rack too as if the screens are on the car, the slot can be used elsewhere wink

Does anyone have a picture of their car with a wind deflector fitted?

Yes, it works VERY well.

Fitting is easy enough, but you really need to take the rear wheels off to do up the bolts properly.

It goes under an "Easu Up" hood without any problems.

To properly access the luggage space you need to lift up the back edge of the hood, but it doesn't otherwise get in the way.

Looks? Subjective: I think it is OK, others don't like it.

Here it is from the back:

And from the side, you have to look hard!

I may take it off when it is hot but most of the year it completely stops the cold wind hitting the back of your neck. the only downside is that the back of it gets filthy from road spray. If that is a disadvantage...! It wipes clean.

Thanks!!

I don;t have an easy up hood, trad itional hood but with swivel pivots. That's raised the question of how easy it is to remove and refit? Again is it a bolt job?

If sub 20 miles, for me it's no screens and no headrests, I like getting blown to bits! More of a tour, then it all goes on, and I imagined this would too; clip in clip out like a modern car. Is that not the case..?
