What will the owners talk about?

At least a third of the posts here seem to revolve round the problems M3W owners have. I'm saddened that there are such disappointed owners. But their mechanical issues will be resolved one way or another over the coming months.

Then we will all have to find something else to go on about!!

Perhaps the forthcoming Plus4? Geneva is coming up and it's ripe for a new or revised Morgan! Or.....now that CM isn't around perhaps Geneva isn't on the cards. On that note, I wonder if he is barred from attending pre show this year after his naughty boy antics at the last one?

The forum is circa seven years old, the M3W considerably younger; therefore, we had things to talk about, discuss and debate before it. wink

What both the Aero product and the M3W have done, more so than the Classics, is bring first time Morgan owners to the forum. In simple terms, these people seem to fall into two distinct camps - those who are prepared for an 'hand built vehicle' and those who are not. For my part, I was not and that meant a baptism of fire. IMHO, a lot of the discussion brought about by new owners is this sharing of the baptism. We'll always have a percentage of this as overall forum content but new models, that tempt people from mainstream car makers, will generally increase the percentage.

Simon, you are right: perhaps we should have a questionnaire for prospective owners, to make sure they are "prepared".

We also could offer councilling, where prospective owners can sit down with an established owner...... hide

Just in my local garage and they have shown me a BMW 120 engine with a failed timing chain after 60000 miles. Apparently BMW have had a major problem since 2007 and have refused to do a recall. So Morgan have some problems and customers need to be satisfied, but I suspect they are small in comparison to the majors.

He rather naughtily took photos on his phone of cars that were to be released at the Geneva Show, before the opening and posted them on social media. There's rather a good one he took of a new Ferrari being prepared on the stand and in the background are a couple of security guys running towards him!
