I have taken it off a couple of times, normally a fairly quick exercise, and I do prefer the look without with the more exposed spare wheel. Trouble is you are more or less compelled to leave the side screens on as the cars with spares don't have a slot for the sidescreens.

Thanks for that tip Bud. I did not think there was enough space so I have not even tried it. We do have the seats all the way back.

Thanks for that tip Bud. I did not think there was enough space so I have not even tried it. We do have the seats all the way back. Peter Worth a try as the front edge of the sidescreen only overlaps the rear shelf by less than an inch on my 4/4, but both tlLB and myself have the seats more forward, so you may have an issue.

We normally run with the luggage rack off and side screens on. TBH we've yet to use the luggage rack in anger, so we've quite a bit of learning to do for the LMC trip. I'll have to try the side screens on the rear shelf to see if they fit with our normal seat position (not fully back in our case).

I used to run with sidescreens and hood on the parcel shelf in RTA, with its bench seat.
Present car has storage for sidescreens on luggage rack.

If your seats are not fully back, they might slip down vertically behind the seat backs...mine do.

If your seats are not fully back, they might slip down vertically behind the seat backs...mine do. We drive with the seats not quite fully back and the side screens will sit upright behind the seats or flat on the parcel shelf. But unless it is warm they stay on the car!!  (couldn't find a smiley for wrap up warm!)
