Jays - what was the effect on your insurance when you had the throttle bodies on your 4/4?

Have Williams been able to reprogram the Zetec (black top) ECU? I can't see why we can't

Interesting Dave. If the ECU is non programmable as the label states, how do Williams manage to remap it? Must ask them the next time I'm down there.....unless Lawrie is reading this post! Lawrie is here I could tell you how we managed it, but I can't sorry chaps no hard feelings If you did tell us, you'd probably have to shoot us! Correct John The proof is in the pudding and I think we have done a very good job on the Plus 4 And a very interesting proposition it sounds to be too Lawrie!

If you were just down the road I'd love to Lawrie, but you are a good few miles away from North Lancs. However, plans may be in the pipeline to visit one of your open days in the future with Jays!

Hi Chunky4/4Racer
I take my chance to ask you directly. Do you develop any ECU upgrade ref the Morgan Roadster Sport (or S3 in general)? I would like to see her a little more agile. I do not need more sheer power, just a bit less inhibited and more free breathing. I also think about changing the flywheel for a lighter one without double wheel.

To get back to the original topic I must get a set of those bits.
Dave, we have had some water get into the ECU box and drip through the cable grommet. It may be well worth while putting a thin neoprene gasket on the firewall side of the box and the base nearest the heater box. The bottom edge and side are probably best left so that any water that does get in can get out and leaving a bit of air circulation for drying.
At the moment I have a tube going from the lower drain of the heater box and down near the gearbox, and some 100 mph tape on the top edge (firewall side)of the ECU box. That seems to have stopped the water ingress which was mainly noticable from the aircon condensation coming out of the heater box drain.

Jays - what was the effect on your insurance when you had the throttle bodies on your 4/4? Dave....my premium increased by about 20%. All my other mods resulted in no premium increases.
