Hello,

Here are the promised pictures of my 4/4 Sport. You can note that I have added some items:

- Chrome Mesh Grille (although now it seems a little bit too of a chrome work for me, sooner or later will change to a black mesh grille)
- Front over riders
- Luggage rack including back loop bumper.


I do prefer the "nude look" of my original Sport but wanted to add some protection mainly for peace of mind and I have the need to carry around my golfing gear which requires a luggage rack. I would have preferred full length blade bumpers front and rear but it seemed nearly impossible to do with the actual body configuration of the Sport.

Other stuff I was planning to add but I am still unsure:

- Single rubber threads and/or protective transparent film over the side sills that are already slightly marked by occasional shoe scratches.
- Shorter gear change shifter as I am growing a scar on my right hand's first knuckle as a result of frequent scratches on the centre console
- Front fog/extra driving lights, though I still doubt on the usefulness of these.
- Internal ambient light, possibly adding a couple red/orange LEDs below the upper leather edge of the dashboard.
- A simple micro-suction pad to stick my smartphone to.
- A mechanism to hold thins in the glovebox (maybe a net?)
- A small and thin shelf below the dashboard passenger-side to hold the car's documents and Morgan Owner's manual.
- Engine: I am definitely interested in anybody who knows a (cheap) way to get some much needed torque from the engine. Possibly a re-mapping + sport air filter and, later, a sport exhaust system?

- I was planning to mount door handles but was advised by Gigi Borghi to wait a bit to decide as these are really useful only if you drive it a lot with the top on. Due to the recent weather in Milan I was forced to do it on a daily basis so I guess this will be the main job for next winter!

Oy you lot!!!

I might add that Stanley is also fitted with the singularly unpleasant LT95 gearbox, so rapid gear changes are not an option.
Also when we gave Jays 4/4 a run for its money, we were also carrying the lovely Lady Budster's luggage on the rear rack!
I reckon that some of the advantage comes from Stanley's reduced louvre count and therefore sreamlined advantage!!

'Ow did thee get a Land Rover gearbox mated to a Ford Zetec then?

Luggage when used correctly can speed up motoring - down steep hills... No kitchen sink I take it?

Alberto, excuse the back chat... You have a great looking car. Bit worried about your problem with knuckle - only motor that ever gave me that problem was a Volvo F10 HGV, until I remembered to put hand around gear lever instead of on top...

I wondered that too. It's probably a special fitment for the west country's tractor driving fraternity.

This is what I am told by Berrybrook, (if my memory serves me correcly ).
I believe it was an adaptation of the box fitted in the Sherpa Van, but I stand to be corrected.
Like me, the gearbox does not like to be rushed; and also like me, it is slightly noisy when cold.

Lovely looking car - bit I am biased as I have a 2011 4/4 Sport in the same colour combination. Enjoy many happy miles.

Hi Alberto - I have the same model & same colour - you obviously have great taste!!
I too kept catching my knuckles when changing gear - then realised that the covering under the dash was not clipped in properly & it had dropped down - when put back - no more scraped knuckles. It`s worth a look.
