Any one know where I can get a new remote central locking relay/module as the factory don't seem to have replacements - aero 8 series 3 2006

Sorry I can't help but would have thought that the Factory would at least tell you what car it was off!
Any numbers etc. on the unit?

Chances are it's off a BMW or Vw maybe?

Hi Taffmog, part is Italian, no longer made, I believe it is a common problem, can manage without but thought I might as well try replace it, just wondered if anyone out there has had similar experience and replaced it with another unit?

My remote has Patrol Line on it but surely a compatible unit is still being fitted to the SS/Coupe

Hope you are able to find a suitable replacement unit and that someone on TM can shed light on an alternative.
Maybe worth having a chat with a dealer; someone like Graham (Parts Dept) at Melvyn Rutter, who seems to have a huge knowledge of these things?

ps. Not a problem I am ever likely to face; as Stanley doesn't even have exterior door handles; (and gets jealous when I look longingly at Aeros!)

Hi, I had the same problem last year and eventually phoned the factory., They told me that the original unit is no longer available and they recommend I bought a unit which they can supply for around £100. I did my homework on this unit and for the price was an average piece of kit. So I went trawling through just about every advert for after market replacements and found the one that is now fitted and its perfect.

I know its on ebay you'll find it under( UNIVERSAL UPGRADE REMOTE KEYLESS FOR CENTRAL LOCK ) its called the Hawk I spoke directly to the company ( Commercial Electronics co ltd 02084047105 ) who are based in London they were incredible helpful and recommended a mobile installer who gave a brilliant service. The installers are Auto Dynamics (Ricky was the guy that came out to me I would personally recommend him ) his number is 07960 282823. Good luck

I had a more robust after market central locking system fitted. Only downside is the remote is bulkier than the little original stick.

Many thanks everyone, It has patrol line on the key fob, the Italian manufacturer has stopped making them and the factory are fitting a complete alarm immobiliser central locking system to the later cars which would cost a lot to retro fit. I think I'll go down thr line of the Hawk unit, thanks again1
