OK.....this is really strange. When I begin a trip ( can be as short as a few Kms ) the pod side light on top of the RHS wing is in the correct position: After a short while of any combination of driving conditions ( fast, slow, highway, town )the light does this : Turning anti-clockwise as viewed from above ( ie. in board ). Easy I hear you all say....tighten the nut! Done it I say and it rotates even more quickly! Please don't tell me it's a case of " it's a Morgan Sir, they all do that." Or worse still......" they all do that but clockwise in the Northern hemisphere!" Anybody had this phenomenon? Solution? Oh, as a quick aside regarding replacing conventional globes with LEDs I have done this with the pods and also re-wired so they are permanently on with the ignition. Easily obtainable and they are an order of magnitude brighter! Actually, not exactly sure what that is but it's heaps Actually, not surprising when you see the condition of the globe I removed Neil.

I think it is possible for the housing to turn on the threaded bolt even if the obvious nuts look tight.
From memory the bolt has more than one bolt on it as it passes through the wing and picks up the wing stay.
The parts pdf file posted recently had a good exploded diagram.

Hi Neil, Are you sure you still have the star washer under the large nut,if not this could cause the sidelight to rotate with vibration.

I bet it is the threaded bolt to lamp connection not the bolt to the thread if that makes sense.

If it is the corelius effect then perhaps you should come to the Northern hemispehere to see if it turns the other way. Would love to know what is causing it. Good luck.

The threaded bolt has a locking mechanism with the chrome housing, I would check that this is correctly located.

Maybe it turns to provide light in bends like a Citroen.

Woodstock had all the right bits and often did this. Loosen the nut, bit of glue under the rubber and re-tighten is probably the easiest way to fix.
