About a year ago there was a long thread on Piloti shoes. I managed to get a couple of pairs of shoes at about the time that the company was closing down due to the effects of the financial crisis.

The good news is that they are re-launching and the shoes should be available again in the Spring. You can check out a pre-view of their new collection at http://piloti.com/

The shoes are comfortable and are great to drive in. I certainly hope they have a successful re-launch.

I found out about the re-launch because I was going to comment on another pair of shoes that I recently purchased that I think are also suitable for driving. Before commenting I went on the net to see if Piloti was back in business and apparently they are.

I wanted a nice comfortable pair of boat deck shoes and purchased a pair of Dubarry Sligo Deck Shoes. They are very comfortable, have a good non-slip sole and are quite a narrow shoe making them very suitable for driving the Morgan. I think they look pretty good too . Dubarry list them at €115.00 but I found a pair on eBay at £59.99 and they can be had for slightly more from some boating shops.

The usual disclaimers. I have no association with either company, just a happy customer.

I managed to get a small stock of 'Prototipo' Pilotis at the same time as Peter and am very pleased - they were at a significant discount at the time. spend

I thought RPM Scotland was a stockist of these

http://piloti.com/

yet I cannot find them on his site, I would really go for a pair of these, maybe I will get a deal at LMC

Keep a search on E-Bay. A large batch were sold off as a job lot a couple of years ago, and they still turn up occasionally.

They have not yet appointed new stockists as far as I can see. Probably they are not in full production yet.

Went the OMP route myself, got two pair of the OMP vintage Carrera boots. Steve McQueen used to wear 'em ... 'nuff said !

Very nice but a bit expensive. I prefer a shoe but the OMP Vintage Nurburgring would be nice for winter use. They can be had for €200.
