Has anyone come up with a solutions for oil changes? I get a little nervous about pulling the oil line off the engine. I really had to crank the hose fitting before I was unable to turn the hose with my hand. My brother says I should just suck it out of the tank with one of those Harbor Freight suckers. There was a little oil in the sump, but that's easy to get to. Remember to put on a new O ring however.
If draining the oil tank is the easiest place to change the oil but the draining is a hassle, why not just add a locking valve to the drain and attached a permanent hose to the valve that routes the oil drain to a location that you can easily place a container under.

I found this one with a 3/8“ NPT thread on the tank end. They come in all sorts of thread applications. This was on E-Bay at around $30US.
It may be an alternative to removing the hose every change. I know guys will say that you’re trapping old oil in the hoses etc, but as often as the oil will be changed in these that would be an issue to me.
Good luck with your oil changes…
