And bought à JZR for waiting And recently found one in the Wales

1) My nephew loves Morgans and has done since the age of 2
2) It fits in well with my collection of cars and bikes
3) In this country, having 600 bhp is becoming more and more irrelevant

I had no intention of buying a M3W, as I already have a 1971 4/4 and 1934 Sports which needs restoration. I was just curious and went to have look and a test drive, before I was off the garage forecourt I was grinning from ear to ear, and two days put my deposit down. I still smile when I drive it so much fun at low speed.

I bought it for the Smiles Per Gallon. Oh and the wife made me sell the Ducati so this is as close as I can get and has more style and practicality than a Scariel Atom. The Caterham did not do much for me before.

The factory is just down the road from me, well about 30 minutes drive, and I've always meant to go and get a test drive, but there doesn't seem much point now I've got the Mog and the CSR, mind you, when did that stop someone?

I took delivery of my M3W on October 12th 2012 – a great moment and a wonderful drive home only superseded by very many more great runs/drives over the past 15 months.
My M3W journey actually started 55 years ago when I was 9! My brothers and I used to cycle to a Motorcycle Scrambles meeting at Tilton on the Hill Leicestershire to watch all the meetings held there. It was fantastic- the sight and sounds live on in my mind today. AND at every meeting parked in a farm gateway near the track was a Morgan 3 Wheeler. It was an Aero with an air cooled JAP engine. We would wait at the end of the Scrambles just to see the owner return and roar off – we loved the open valve gear and the sight and sound of this old car!
I have had lots of cars – Spitfires,Capris,Jaguar,Mercedes,BMWs by the dozen- a Westfield and a JZR and a lot of bikes too – Veteran Vintage and Modern. But I always wanted a Mog. I reckoned that I could not afford a 30s car – or have the workshop/skills to keep one fettled and on the road.
So to my amazement and total surprise when walking up by the start line at Prescott in Spring 2010 there was the new prototype M3W on display – love at first sight! Someone from Morgan fired the job up – and I was hooked!
BUT way over my budget – until in the Summer of 2012 I had a couple of unexpected financial windfalls. I worked out if I sold my 3 bikes plus the £windfalls I could buy an M3W.So I did!
What fun I have had. I have joined in/entered eight motoring Events including two MTWC events (and been made very welcome -thanks).
I have been on numerous local runs all round the Cotswolds – covering over 3000 miles now.
I have become a “Morganeister” as I call it – oh and well hooked on the Talk Morgan Forum !:))
Ok I have had to have new uprated wishbones, new rear drive sprocket, new rectifier and numerous other small mods/upgrades. BUT looking back on all this work I would say the Factory ( my local Dealer) have been brilliant. They have fixed everything promptly and with good spirit – and added lots of work/upgrades which I did not ask for – or even knew needed doing.
There have been times when I was in despair at the Transmission noises – but I decided to persevere and am glad I did.

I've done just that - swapped a 380hp Ferrari for the M3W and am loving every minute. Each journey is an adventure and fun at legal speeds. The Ferrari was fantastic but too fast to really enjoy on crowded, potholed, narrow roads.

We saw an article on the concept in early Dec 2010...at that point it was only a CAD diagram and potentially Harley powered....we went to our local dealer (Richard Thorne) and placed deposit on basis of expectation of future fun....wind forward to April 2012 and we (or rather she as legal owner) took delivery of an early example in green (miniature Bentley style)...and all expectations of fun delivered in spades...son and friends think we were mad to buy unseen (bar test drive of a prototype @ the factory in Nov 2011) but we did not/do not care...also turned out her father had run an M3W in the late 30s but girlfriend/future wife said it was her or car...so nice circle closed...

I saw a picture, it said "buy me", so I did. Later on, I found some rational arguments for my decision (never buy new windscreen wipers, never buy antifreezing for the doorlocks, next time buy only 3 instead of 4 tyres...) to explain to my friends that I'm not crazy, but the decision was made earlier
