Here is the commencement of my next project. I'm in the process of making an under dash luggage tray out of 3mm mdf and 12mm timber. The unit will be ultimately covered in black carpet to match that of the footwells and hinged as per the pic.
Found two redundant 6mm allen bolts and nuts at the top of the passenger footwell to which I have affixed an aluminium angle and mounting for hinges. I have also sourced a chrome catch to secure the compartment as it sits under the lower dashboard trim.
