Hi
Another new face here - and a newcomer to the marque. I've recently started looking at Aeros and it feels a little like you've been keeping a secret! Thanks for all the background already posted - its been a massive help. All the best and please forgive some idiot questions to come.... Charlie

Hi Charlie and welcome to the best Aero resource on the web. Do tell us more about yourself and what type of Aero you are looking for? I agree that they are a bit of a well-kept secret, but we are gradually growing the oasis and TM has been a big part of this process. Brian aka Aeroman

Hi - thanks for the welcome!
I'm coming from 911s and really want something a bit more special but without service horror stories, reliability question marks and whopping depreciation of the usual suspects.
To me the Aero is a perfect solution but I've got two hurdles - finding the right car and getting my wife enthused...!
Started looking at S1s around the Thames Valley area (so you'll know which ones....) and they are fantastic. I have to admit the width of the later car is a draw but are you really getting twice the car for twice the money??
Still, probably the most enjoyable car hunting experience I've had!
All the best Charlie

All the best Charlie Many of us have come from 911's great car but no soul as far as I am concerened. However..... there are some on here.... one in particular who may wish to remain nameless.... who still has a 911 (only just??) who has a particular penchant for Pork Beware, he may try and get friendly BTW, a series II has all the attributes of a series III except for the Mini lights. It has the width and the newer engine and the ABS but not twice the price of a series I - but they are pretty rare admittedley. BtG (series II owner in case you didnt realise ) Happy hunting
Cheers

Thanks Boshly - good point on the s2 - but is it me or are they particularly rare?
I can see the logic of keeping a bit of pork... I started thinking to trade a 993 I've had for nearly 10 years and taken all round the place but its very hard to part with!!

Beware, he may try and get friendly Another recruit to HogMog BtG. BTW, a series II has most of, but not all the attributes of a series III except for the Mini lights. It has the width and the newer engine and the ABS but not twice the price of a series I - but they are pretty rare admittedly... ...especially when coloured like the DynoRod Special. Anyway, good luck with the search Charlie, I must say I like the look of that Series I at SGT. Aeroman BtG (Series III owner, in case you didn't realise )
