Can anyone recommend a supplier of mixed packs of nuts, bolts and washers? I've had a couple of tubs in the garage for years (metric stainless and imperial galvanized) but they are running low now.
Thanks,
Chris

I have boxes and boxes of mixed fixing which is fine for an emergency but invariably I never have the exact combination of style, material and quantity that is ideal. I do like to see the correct fixing used for the job used. So often I don’t even bother to go rummaging anymore as I found Ebay to be superb particularly for stainless. You can get virtually anything, any quantity within a few days. It just means I have to plan ahead a little!

Abbots Fasteners Ltd. Basildon, Essex. They do most grades & quantities. They also supply Stover nuts in UNF.

You could try Namrick; they stock a wide range of fasteners:

I would strongly recommend stainlessparts.co.uk they sell ones or more of any nut or bolt that you could conceive. Owned as I understand it by a Morgan enthusiast.

There is a guy called "Steve's Stainless" who does a great range of all types and sizes. He seems to turn up at Autojumbles. In fact a large Autojumble is a good place to by fasteners. I had used Namrick in the past but found that a lot of their stuff would strip threads when torqued up. They were ok for fastening together non critical parts but not for anything else.

I can recommend Steve's Stainless. I've bought a lot of fasteners off him over the years and all has been of good quality.
