Yes i guess thats the best solution,its a hassle to drain close to 5 liters that are in the oil tank & store in containers..hope they can get the right measurement thread or else i will have to get the same bolt size & thread & dhl it to them

I'm on the size of the drain plug, same as me is making a play in turn from the second to put a drain tap 1/4 turn while bronze conical valve .

Why not buy a few bolts local and try them with your finger over the hole?

I drained the oil again.but i wanted to take a gambil & order 12 mm 1.75 but also 1.5 was on my mind.so instead of a 50/50 chance i ordered 2..image they arrive home & both dont fit oops
& well for the extra 1 we will find a fix for it on the hot rods maybe

I will keep you informed

The image suggests the Verniers are incorrectly positioned on the bolt. The knife edge section on the calipers is possibly measuring the thread root diameter. Try measuring with the flat part of the caliper faces, thus measuring the thread diameter.

Parts book has it as an M12x16 hex head sealed with an M12 Dowty washer. Thread pitch should be 1.75 since they haven't specified otherwise. The drain valve looks like it will use a Dowty washer to seal against the tank but impossible to say for sure from their photos.

We will just have to wait till 12mm 1.75 & 12mm 1.5 arrive and see what fits,plus i ordered thread gauge reader
