they remapped the old engine
154 instead of 145 hp The conversion for the twoseater from kw to bhp is not correct. 106kW are 154bhp not 145. On the 4seater website the conversion is correct. Christian Sorry. I had the wrong scale in mind (1,37 PS per kw, what is definitly wrong). The others are correct. 154 HP are 113kw. So the 4 seater Website is not correct. Christia

Er no! I think it is the other way round  106 KW = 144,12 PS and 142.15 BHP

The revised model features the same 2.0-litre Ford Duratec engine as before but develops 154bhp and 148lb ft, an increase on the current car’s 145bhp and 140lb ft. Much of the power increase comes from an ECU remap that is the first ever developed by Morgan itself.
Is this right? All info here was that the +4 had a different engine, not just a remap of the current engine's ECU.

TBH it is a mild evolution of old stuff, perhaps an interims solution. I thought they would install a new generation of engine on the Plus 4.

The pictures provided by Clipper show a specification board listing the 2.0 GDI?

The specification are mostly identical only the weight of the new Plus 4 is 50 kg highter. I guess MMC did not plublish (or know) the correct specification of the new engine otherwise the "more powerful new Plus 4" would be less powerful because of its higher weight.
