You're right of course - speed reading again I'm afraid. Although I am a little surprised that there is such collaborative support across the dealer network for the retro-fit, I continue to be hugely encouraged by the way Morgan and its network do business and we will all have the opportunity to get our cars up to the revised spec and maintain a very level playing field in terms of resale value and desirability. Now that really is what you call customer focus.....

Compare and contrast to my mate who bought a McLaren 12C 2 years ago which has suffered over £100k depreciation, made worse recently by the launch of the 'new' 650S model, which is just a face-lifted 12C. And this following a commitment by McLaren to never update the 12C in such a way as to impact those (very important) early adopters from 2012. Well done Morgan I say thumbs

Dealer Revolutions confirms that the prices they quoted for the steering comfort kit & bevel box NVH kit include fitting & there is no labour charge on top. At 1.5 hours & 2 hours both can be done in the day for £700. I've ordered both & hope they can be fitted next month.

I'm having the Comfort Steering fitted and at first my dealer was quoting over £400 for parts and labour. I sent them a copy of the Aero Racing letter and they are now doing it for the £198 quoted.

The Service Manager didn't seem to be aware of the letter which clearly says the dealer network had been consulted and the prices agreed.

Hopefully this is just a lack of the communication getting through rather than the dealer picking up the tab for the labour.

I'm normally as cynical as the next man but in this case the way it was handled and what was said makes be believe it wasn't anything untoward.

I have to say that the factory were cooperative and fair and although I contributed the car is much the better for it

25 hours to fit a compensator, I bet a good man could assemble a whole car in that time!
