Normally dry top bush which can drip if you oil too much or if your lucky its squeaking where the column passes through a rubber grommet on the bulkhead. Lift the bonnet that side, open the door, rock steering a little and see if the noise is noticeable under the bonnet. I use Vaseline (petroleum jelly) on the rubber as that lubes it without destroying it......if your brave ask the chemist for KY........running away now

Spanner Juggler's post is probably the issue, but also just check that the back of the steering wheel is not rubbing agaisnt the cowl.

After a conversation with BHM they seem to be aware of what I need to do. It appears not to be a problem so possibly a trip to Wales for the weekend is on the cards. Will ask them to check it when I get back
