Today is the day. The Plus 8 has been run a lot lately with the Polo match two weekends ago, and Amelia Island this past weekend, it's now time for the S1 DHC and 81 4/4 to get a spin. The weather is clear but I have to wait for the morning rush and school bus traffic to lesson some before I venture out in the DHC.

I got all excited yesterday. Temperatures up above zero and the melting piles of snow are beginning to wash some of the crud off the roads. But then I saw the week's forecast. Another 10-15cm of snow tomorrow, temperatures well below freezing for the rest of the week. Come on, Weather Gods, it's nearly mid-March and I'm having terrible withdrawal symptoms...

Morgan to Bristol; travel to London (nice !) then drive 1Z16 Cheltenham Racecourse special train from Paddington to Cheltenham and take the empties forward to Worcester. Travel back to Bristol (nice x2 !) then the Mog back home up into the Mendips.
Doing the same on Friday, if anyone is going to the last day of the Festival?

Monday 10th
Board meeting to get to 45 miles away
Disco has a "check pads" warning on the dashboard - if I keep the mileage down it will make it to the weekend when I have time to change the pads.
Meeting venue hotel has a good car park.
Morgan it is then.
Back roads, M1, M69, A5 (heading for the Fosse) until a road closed sign and a police officer barred the route. Back on the M69 and Coventry ring to my destination. A long day followed. 8:30pm, back in the Morgan to head home. And the speed bumps on the hotel are vicious - two grinding noises later I am back on the back roads heading for the Fosse. This time all is clear and I have a good journey home.
All in all, a good day. However, the Mercure Brandon Hall is not a Morgan friendly venue all the time they have the speed bumps that high!
