I guess just another celebrity journalist with an overinflated sense of his own self importance... he probably speaks highly if me though!

On balance though Harris/Clarkson...? Harris/Clarkson...? I think I'd plump for Harris.

At least Harris does try to address car design, dynamics and performance in a reasonably intelligible manner (and he can actually drive). Where as Clarkson is all bluster, tyre smoking and showboating on an airfield (e.g. Clarkson's recent "off" whilst driving in a straight line down a wet runway in the BMW 1 Series )

From the film, I thought that Harris simply took the view, like some others on here have also done, that Morgan just isn't the same without CM. His view surely, nothing more.

Oh BTW - I thought that the Maserati concept was a nice looking thing!

I am a Chris Harris fan and if you look at the number of hits his videos get, he has many others.

A little less tongue in cheek so am I, and so I'm one of the many hits to some of his videos and reports/road tests on Piston Heads

You can like Chris Harris or not, according to choice (and I do not suppose that your choice would bother him much). It cannot be denied, however, that he is a very experienced journalist and a highly skilled driver (he surprised a few people at Goodwood last year).

Occasionally, like many people (including, I dare say, some of those in these forums), he has a tendency to talk utter bollocks when not in full possession of the facts; in my view this was one of those occasions.

Perhaps he will change his view when he has a chance to examine things in closer detail.

I have a lot of time for Chris Harris and I think for MMC he represents some PR opportunities that have not been taken up to date.

He and CM have a bit of history and I'd suggest he was just reflecting that. Charles was generally good PR, so MMC need to fill the void, one way or another.

The above sums up my opinion.

I've met Chris on a few occasions - including once when he asked for enthusiasts views during his review of the Aeromax and secondly when he tested a non-Morgan I owned. He is a character and, as mentioned above, a skilled driver. I also believe he invests the time to drive, understand and thus 'gets' Morgan products; which in itself is a refreshing change from many of his peers.

I just think he has had a close working relationship with CM and he was just reflecting on that.

He has been good for Morgan in the past and I hope he will continue to do that in the future.

He is very direct and a breath of fresh air compared to the old school laddish reporters, but most importantly he has a sense of humour

Yes, perhaps I went a bit far there, but I was merely putting my view in the terms I would use face to face with Chris. I hope he will be invited to visit the factory soon so that he can assess what has changed in the last few months.
