And finally a look behind the dash to locate the relays. On this model year there is a bank of seven, just to the left of the centreline. A big one which I presume to be the wiper delay relay and six identical relays:


The reason I checked this out is because on Saturday when out and about, I had an engine cough - a momentary ingnition off/on moment. The immobiliser lamp flashed momentarily, before all returned to normal, but I'm thinking ignition relay, unless anyone out there knows something for sure. Alternatively it could be an immobiliser fault. We'll have to see how it develops.

PS - the relays are Tyco Electrics 0-1432793-1
They also have the reference no 111921, and have the supplementary terminal 87A (for those familiar with relay terminals).

Just curious (aka nosey!) as to what the red, yellow and green marks are on the speedo?

At first I thought they may be kph limits, but as the speedo is dual scale... and they don't seem to correspond to 50, 90 and 130kph...

Good Stuff Dave! Sounds like my saga as I am nearly finished refitting the whole Utility Room to create space for a 'Tumble Bumble'.

Between the Plumbing conundrums, adding Tiling Skills and the Dog Hairs spoiling the Gloss Paintwork (still to be re done), Split Ends to Fingers and Thumbs and Knackering my Knee by falling down a few stairs along the way, all tells me that I am getting too old for all of this stuff. But we do enjoy the challenges .

you have black covers over the set screw heads that hold the door hinges: is that because the screws are not shiny?

Where did you get them from? I need to cover the screws or replace them...!

Agree 100% about the door checks. The doors actually stay open. No more leg caught as the door swings closed!

Peter - they are just commercially available philips/posidriv plastic covers available on e-bay/amazon.
The screws had started to weather, and they are hard to 'restore', so I took the easy way out, with a little Bostick!
