Ditto. Short of a hood that can be erected without getting out - and preferably without stopping scared, I can't really fault my factory hood. It doesn't leak (much!)

My Easy-up hood is both easy and fairly watertight.

scared Tesco's is where Henrietta's aluminium seems to be most magntic : I try to find a remote spot with 4 or 5 empty spaces but inevitably a 4x4 will be parked inches away when I get back out - and 3 empty spaces next to the Fourbee. swear

I know the feeling, why is it that owners of 4x4's can be so thoughtless after all they have spent an awful lot of money on their choice of vehicle.
Last year on our return from the Mille Miglia I spent what seemed like half an hour down in the ferry car deck standing by the Moggie protecting it from the family from hell as they unpacked the entire contents of their MPV along with 3 screaming children. They were completely unconcerned that they were millimetres away from certain death. !!!

We survived Tescos no problem but:-
1. the bracket on my Williams windstop broke off after 5 months use. Aaah! I will post photos
2. The zip on my centenary jacket broke

Not best chuffed but the drive was great

Nice round trip this afternoon - Stoke Fleming - Dartington - Totnes - Kingsbridge - Torcross - Slapton - SF. sunny drive

Lots of waves from, TR6, Spitfire Mk1, MGB with proper bumpers and four MX5's. thumbs

The non-wavers were BMW 120d Cab and two Porker Cab's no surprises there than grin2 perhaps they don't enjoy motoring quite so much as the rest of us, or maybe their seats come fitted with a 6" nail in headed North as they look pretty miserable.

Delightful run out to meed Roger and Diane for lunch at Compton Abbas Airfield.

We set off topless in bright sunshine but mid way between Salisbury and the roundabout where B3081 crosses the A 354 what started as a light drizzle suddenly becalme a heavy hail squal.

Hail at 70 mph hurts when it impacts exposed ears!!!

Stop to put the hood up and dry off, discovered that the screen heater does work!

Some fantastic clouds, a good noggin watching the weather and a few intrepid pilots and lunch. We ambled back down the Chalk Valley between the A30 and A354, stopped at home for coffee.

I then spent the next hour and a half washing and detailing Aldermog.... pleasure comes at a cost!

Ideal, I chose the wrong day, yesterday went and had lunch in Chagford the long way .

Still think that the 379 Kingsbridge to Dartmouth is one of the magical roads
