I fitted the std servo/master to my 1986 4/4, but I needed to make a narrower assembly to operate the cable actuation for the clutch - later cars are wider and of course even later had a hydraulic clutch master! These servo/masters were fitted to the last of the Classic Minis and are still readily available new of course, and at a lot lower price than Morgan charge for handling them! I fitted the older 4 pot calipers of the c1990s (As fitted to Princesses/Ambassadors/+8 etc. They work very well. Cheers PJB.

Cannot tell yet Richard! Should collect the Morgan today from my Morgan agent Klaas Booij who did the conversion, but it took all a bit longer, the Dutch MOT has to be done, so next saturday I travel to Zaandam and collect her. I'm very curious how everything worked out. Booij send me the pictures last week and he told me that I was more work than he expected. He also fitted new brake hoses to the rear, and it was a difficult fit, especially to get te servo fit and connect in every way. But yesterday he should fill and bleed the system, so I assume that today Klaas makes the new maiden trip with the brakes. I will tell how the stuff feels as soon as I've driven it. Cannot wait, the Morgan was way to long!

Thanks Ruut, I hope the week passes quickly for you and you are morganing again complete with big smile. Looking forward to hearing your update when you manage to lever yourself from the car Hello Richard, finally the Morgan is back home! Yesterday I collected her from my agent near Amsterdam, and luckily on a cold but dry saturday I had a 300 km drive and the whole setup felt perfect. I was al bit afraid the braking should be to brisk, but it has a good feel and balance, the servo assistance is just right. The only problem is now the brake warning light is sometimes on, it seems to me that it appears more uphill rather than downhill and more in left turns (I believe), than in right turns. I assume it has something to do with the braking fluid level. On inspection today it is a bit difficult to see, because of the very low position of the system, but the level seems to be one inch under the " ceiling ". Maybe it needs a little refill. I will ask my agent tomorrow, because he's more than 200 km away, there no quick dropping by. I've also have reaction bars fitted from the cross frame to the chassis, I believe that contributes to a more firm feeling. More photographs to follow, unfortunately it's a day full of showers and ice rain in Holland, so no driving today, and no cleaning as I had planned. Next weekend the first dutch "MSCCH" openings tour, called the Noord-Holland Classic, takes place, always very popular with roughly about 80 Morgans attending. We're ready for it! (except that warning light....)

Ruut, the warning light is either pressure or level. From how you describe it I would suggest it is level & you need a little more fluid. But don't overfill, normally there is a mark.

If it is level make sure it hasn't got too low for air to get in....

Thanks for the update Ruut I'm glad you are pleased with the braking response. Those calipers are very smart indeed. Hopefully you just need to top up the brake fluid to clear the warning lamp. Have a great get together next weekend, maybe some photos for us all to share
