'76 4/4 X-flow - 28.5 mpg on a 22 mile round trip commute - not thrashing it, with only 4 forward cogs in the gearbox 3000rpm works out just under 60mph, so I sit with the HGVs on motorways.

38 - 40 on longer runs, again same proviso as above. Prefer to use A & B roads, but sometimes Ms have their uses smile ...

Cheers,

Graham (G4FUJ)

The only time MPG comes into play is when you drive for work and very few people use their Morgans for this. As others have said, when you're enjoying your time behind the wheel, you don't worry about how much fuel you are burning (I'm sure the oil companies have shares in sports car makers tongue2 )

I've never objected to a penny I've spent on filling up the Roadster. However I think a few people may be put off them because they think they may be a bit 'thirsty' frown

From the replies it sounds as though the Roadster is no worse than a four cylinder cars unless your are going for a 'total grin' crazy2 drive
