Here are the pics of the tool I used to pull the back of the rear spring into position rather than attempt to push down the front end with an assistant. It could be developed into a more sophisticated product but it did the job, so why worry. Basically a half section of pipe welded to a length of 1/2" stud bar. By locating the tool in the gap between the spring and the chassis it prevents it from jumping out. All you need then is a podger or screwdriver to align the silentbloc bush with the chassis bracket. I enlarged the rear most petrol tank bracket hole in the chassis to take the 1/2" bar. More pics of ongoing renovation in the Photo Forum.
