On classic Mogs, there were/are a number of aftermarket solutions to modifying the wide open glove box. On my previous classics, I have fitted two such alternative dashboards in order to have a lockable glove box.

The question is ....... Has anyone seen or done a lockable glove box for the Aero ……… I’m loving my Series 3, and plan to do a fair amount of touring this year, but would like a lockable box in which to keep the Garmin, camera, paperwork etc when just parked up. It would be nice to have a lockable glove box as I’m not sure that the other half swmbo likes the foot well lockbox, although this may well be the answer.

Knowing that the boot is easily popped from the pull opener in the car, I don’t really trust the boot to be secure for any period of time.

Your thoughts and suggestions would be welcome ……..

cheers ........ Pete

Thanks aerotaff for the caravan safe idea ...

As a caravanner until last year we had such safes in our caravans from time to time ...... Did not want to go into the boot however as this would mean taking out any luggage if we were travelling ......

Found it difficult to envisage how to make the open glove pocket on an Aero8 secure so now looking at the foot well locker like the Librands type ..... Wonder if anyone has fitted one into an Aero8.

Cheers ........... Pete

I have the same one as mogcollector in mine. Posted some pictures of it here a couple of years ago around the time I switched to the twin side exits from the stock side exits.
