Hi all, I had a yellow 4/4 in the early 70s, and used to swap it with a friend's Lotus 7 series 4 from time to time. I loved the Morgan, but the Lotus had amazing handling. The Morgan had to go when we decided to trade up houses, and then many moves and four kids kept sports cars well in the background. When I eventually had some spare money, I bought a Caterham Roadsport, took my old friend to Le Mans in it, and he promptly bought a Caterham himself. My wife hated the Caterham, so a new Mini Cooper S filled a gap till I found a Caterham Blackbird - the maddest car ever - then a more sensible Superlight. One of my sons in law introduced me to Newtown Motors, so a trip over there in December in the Caterham started the Morgan itch again. Peter Constable invited son in law and me to a factory day a few weeks ago, so again a trip up in the Caterham, a spin in a three wheeler, then a Brooklands Roadster, and I was hooked. The factory tour was the icing on the day. So then visits to Williams Automobiles and back to Newtown, a trip back to the factory for a tour with my wife, and I've ended up spending far more than I intended to on a 13 plate Roadster, which I collected on Thursday, just as the weather improved. One of the reasons my wife hates sports cars is that I can never be bothered to put the hood up, whatever the weather. However, if you see a green Roadster with the hood up in brilliant sunshine, it will be be because I've put it up to get her into it! How nice to have a hood which will go up and down in seconds - hopefully if I'm nice to her she'll come round to open air motoring again in time. When I work out how to do it, I'll post some pics.

Amrum, My first 4/4, 1976, was yellow too but I had it painted black after I bought it from Tim Packer, simply because it stood out so much and just wanted red wings. However things often come around and now I would quite like to have yellow once more. There is a fetching yellow amongst the TMers I believe.

Thanks everyone! Does the link work? If so it is of my Morgan 40 years ago, with my wife looking sultry posed on the wing, and my youngest brother behind posing by his frogeye Sprite. If this works, picture of the Roadster to follow.

Well, the link now goes to the photo when you click on it, but it doesn't show in the post. If anyone can tell me what I'm doing wrong, I'd appreciate it! If this has loaded, this is the new Roadster with the same wife.
