Thanks, everyone.
I've been enjoying the warm weather, and doing more miles than expected this week. Really enjoying the car, although the near side wing mirror is impossible to position and I'd forgotten what it felt like to hit potholes in a Morgan! South Glos roads are appalling as well, so I'm learning to leave lots of space behind cars to give me time for avoiding action, and using the tongue to blast past cars from a lot further back than in the Caterham.
Very satisfying!

Not sure why but I had the same problem with my nearside mirror until I "clicked" the arm in one stop i.e. closer to the sidescreen and then it was adjustable. Hope that helps.

I had the same nearside mirror issue, but as Richard says if you pull the mirror stalk it can be positioned one click further in. I found the mirror then touched the side screen so had to adjust the height up half an inch. Since then I can get it set nicely - although I suspect a convex lens would be even better.

Standard Morgan mirrors are poor quality, if you search mirrors on here you will find plenty of discussion on better solutions.

Same problem and remedy with the near side mirror on my 4/4. But I hate the fact that it is not symmetrical with the off side. It's very frustrating!

Welcome to the world of Roadsters!

In Morgan terms a refined carriage for a gentleman and his lady.
In the real world a closet hooligans machine.
They are, well, quick.

Ours is waterproof, almost.

To encourage your wife to "prefer" hood down motoring go back to Williams and tell Paul or Henry you "forgot" the wind deflector. They really do work well.
