Week-end Jaunt!

Hello Morganeers,

I just wanted to share a most wonderful week-end experience I just had driving vMog down to New Forest. Out of the blue, I first decided to hit the road and drive to Warminster at Dents gloves factory shop, where I bought myself a pair of "techno" driving gloves, which really work perfectly with any iPhone or GPS device. spend

From there, I stopped over in Hindon to spend the night and then drove through the countryside to reach New Forest.

There I went to the National automobile museum in Beaulieu (may be I missed something but the number of Mogs in the facilities was down to... one 3-wheeler / very sad indeed) and drove back to Lyndhurst for an excellent lunch at the Green Dragon. eat

Driving through New Forest was beautiful, as I would come across indigenous poney horses, pheasants and cows. There were also many humans that day on the trails! grouphug

Finally drove back to London with everything down (hood + sidescreens), which was lovely, especially since the weather was so perfect.

Cheers,

vMog, you can really take some stunning photos!

I live on the edge of the New Forest, it is a wonderful place but don't ever thing of visiting during the weekend in the summer, unless you love sitting in slow moving traffic jams.....Easter Weekend will be terrible!

You hit the sweet spot, but mid September can be very special as well, with autumn colours and misty mornings.

Come again, you missed Samy Millers wonderful bike museum.

Another museum on the List of Things that Must be Done smile
Great set of photos...
Not venturing far this weekend, though Coughton Court tomorrow looks like a day out (with a visit to the farm shop on Evesham Country Park on the way home).
swmbo has already stated it is too cold to use the Mog... Tempting to go on my own laugh2

Might see you there Graham. Not in the Mog unfortunately as we are taking grandchildren on the Easter Egg hunt.

If you want to try a proper farm shop try Ellenden between Harvington and Norton on the B4088, only a couple of miles from the Country Park. Some nice goodies, all local, and their own farmed meat. Coincidentally, they also farm at Coughton.

Will keep an eye out! Either Polo or 90 - suspect Polo... TM stickers in both smile
I've seen that farm shop too - but swmbo will insist on the other site... Shoe shop etc! grin2
