Two nice articles in this month's EVO magazine (UK) - one an interview with Steve Morris about the future and an EVO Driven piece on the 2014 M3W.

Morris comes over as a very enthusiastic and in my view safe pair of hands for the Morgan asset right now and says how they will continue to make sure that their cars continue to meet the legal requirements of the countries in which they sell. Europe and Asia are strong for them, but the US seems to have fallen foul for everything other than M3W due to the ever growing (and ridiculously expensive I suspect) requirements for things like Smart Airbags and active roll-over protection. Morgan simply can't afford to keep up with this level of ever evolving legislation, understandably.

He admits that they are a niche product and will continue to do what they do best - and have done for 100+ years - by looking to constantly evolve and develop those niche products into the markets that want them. Australia mentioned for the M3W as a good example. He comes over as a very nice chap.

M3W Driven article continues the high praise the magazine gave it when they tested a prototype back in late 2011 and they still say it is great. No big remarks about the 2014 mods and in fact they say that there was nothing wrong with the original cars and most folks would not notice much of a difference anyway. And that all the mods (except the slightly narrower transmission tunnel) can be retro-fitted anyway, means that all the cars can be regarded as excellent devices. 4 stars, which is good for an EVO review.

Thanks for the info...Australia is a huge market for the M3W with a significant waiting list. The factory seem to have been very supportive of getting the car to market here.

Positive press reviews are always a good thing, and will help maintain residuals - which don't matter, until the time comes to sell!

Thanks for that Steve...there was an article in the Ear (the Morgan Owner's Club of Australia) detailing the lengths involved in getting compliance. In Australia if you fit windscreens you need wipers, demisters etc.; hence no windscreen!

Can't you get Wills & Kate to have a word with the authorities whilst they are visiting.
I am sure they could arrange a concession for Morgans!

I guess that the delightful and stylish rear view mirror is something that's also been imposed by the Aussie powers that be.
