Thanks to all Talk Morganers who came today in spite of some slight showers!! It was good to put faces to names. The folks at Claymills said that they had enjoyed having us there & were impressed by the turnout and of course the Morgans. Hope you all arrived back home safely.

Cracking day Phil! Thanks for organising it. I will return. Good turnout and a nearly dry drive home to Cheletenham - more rain at Burton than down here at home. The lady letting me out of the gate at the end made me laugh - "Bye bye Buttercup" - I think she was talking to the car!!

Thanks are due to you Phil for arranging the visit.
Claymills was very interesting, Rosemary enjoyed it as well, I collected the case from Graham (thanks)and watched him help start the beam engine, and it was the first trip in the repainted Morgan for a while, so despite the downpour on the drive in, we both had a fantastic day.
Thanks again

As for the collection of cars - I have a photo of the group at the far end where I was parked, but mine is hidden. And at the other end someone parked a really scruffy looking SII Landy in the middle of the Morgans... Hope the case brings you lots of happy travels Malcolm! The +8 was looking good

Not sure how those interlopers got in - but seeing a classic Porker parked up on a coal heap was worth it all. The series 1 Landie could do with a good coat of wax to enhance the "patina". The guys in the boiler room were upset that the smoke out of the chimney just could not compete with the exhaust of the LR!! We must get together sometime, inkyfingers , and combine your mamod steamers with my Mamod steam railway. All sad gits together!

Unfortunately I missed the 944SII cabriolet in my photo... I still have a stationary Mamod somewhere - maybe I should look at converting it to a beam engine? My Mamod railway went to new owners years ago...

..and I found out that the reason my tread rubbers didn't go back properly was because I'd used M4 when M3 was best. So later it's exhaust off again and refit the treads!
