I've been deliberating for some time over the colour to repaint my Morgan as the existing paint doesn't quite go with the leather (repainted by a previous owner) and have been using the Factory Car Creator site for the new Plus 8. Quite a neat site as one can change the upholstery, hood and paint until the match seems OK. Unfortunately the site just says the standard base colour of Blue, can anyone fill in the details ie maker and paint code, etc. From their literature I guess the Factory are using ICI but the colour ranges are a bit of a nightmare unless one can see a good pic of the car.

From what I've been told the factory will paint thecar any colur you care to pay for....don't think they use ICI, not sure that ICI is still in the auto paint business. I know the domestic paint business went to Akzo Nobel, the Dulux brand is used in some countries.
The Morgan on line "thing" is only a rough guide!
Possibly the best way is to go to various dealers and look at their colour samples, certainly the premium German brands all have real painted plates. When you find what loooks good you can take the details.
Enjoy!
