Uncle Melvyn (and other suppliers) will sell you some cylindrical bolsters which fit at the top of the seat ahead of the head restraints. I picked a pair up at Canterbury so that MrsW can sleep on the motorway 'at speed'................ Visible here...........

Hi Dave, Yes I have the bolsters but even with them our heads are no where near them especially on the drivers side. Lovely pics by the way. Your headrests look different to the 2011 ones. Bob:)

Bob, the head restraints changed from the big blocks as above, soon after 05, probably 06. Is it because you have your seat well reclined? You could commission some larger contoured bolsters. I don't think bending the shafts will make much difference.
The location of the pics is the Wylye Valley nr Salisbury. We stopped off on the way back from Canterbury, which is why the Roadster looks a bit grubby. We've stayed at this Farmhouse B&B since 1986.................

My thanks to Laurie and the team at Williams Morgan for sorting out my headrest problem so quickly.

Dave, Hope you don’t mind me jumping in here with another question. As you have both types do you know if the old block type and the new style are interchangeable? Will the new style fit into the older seats?

Yes, a standard BL column, so MGB/Midget/Triumph and so on - all fit and are considerably cheaper than Morgan sourced head restraints. Available in leather from MG specialists - MGOC etc, in a (limited)range of colours. The earlier 'D' Type BL head restraints are similar to the very latest MMC units. Called 'D' because of the shape from the side. The later BL head restraint c 1980 is very similar to the revised MMC unit. There is no BL equivalent for the big block MMCv1 head restraints. Note that the difference between MMC2, and MMC3 versions is very subtle.

Thank you Dave. I’ve been trying to purchase a new set in the new style upholstered in the original colour and was led to believe that they were not interchangeable/not possible. Mine are the older block type. I just never quite got to the bottom as to what the reason was exactly.
