I guess that the delightful and stylish rear view mirror is something that's also been imposed by the Aussie powers that be. That must be the make up mirror for the co-pilot. It's about all you're going to be able to see in it anyay...

Not a birdcage, but as in Maserati! Oh, OK, I knew you knew all the time Chris................ There you go, lateral thinking.
I agree that the car still needs to retain its' period charm, but there are just so many areas that can be made thinner or with better triangulation and smaller tubes. 100kgs would be a big ask, but I am certain, that with commitment it could be done, preferably not by Morgan men, they just don't seem to have the right mind set, sorry guys but looking at all your product, I have to say that, but a specialised outside consultancy could work wonders.
It's interesting that all journalist, almost without exception seem to think that 525 kgs [aprox] is light, yes against most cars it is, but it is one of the heaviest three wheelers ever made.
An improvement still to be made, would be to move all the foot pedals over to the right a bit, [on right hand drive cars of course]and make some room for a clutch foot. The brake and accelerator pedals could be closer to help heel and toe gear changes, at the moment I have to use my heel on the lower part of the accelerator instead of being able to cover both pedals with one foot. I have it in mind to ask the ever helpful Bill Chaplin at Empire racing cars to modify my pedals for me when he has some time, which may not be until next winter the way he is going.
What have others found could be improved?
Paul [At last, I have a car I can polish]

I also find that the weight of modern tw penalizes a sporty, lightweight frame with a direction would be less démutiplier a single central shock absorber rear, single body is light in this vehicle. I am against the carbon as all repairs or modifications reaches the high financial costs.

I favor the passenger side, my wife is mounted only four times in the tw and traveled just 150km and weighs less than 55 kg.

What have others found could be improved? "Foot pedals"...Aaaargh - that's a criminal offence, Paul. I agree entirely about how pleasant it would be to have space to rest the clutch foot, but that would require substantial re-engineering. On the other hand, or rather foot, I am surprised by your right-foot problem. I take an English size 13/French 49 or thereabouts and I have to wear proper racing shoes to drive, otherwise the pedals are too close together. I cannot recall a better pedal set for heel-and-toe. Perhaps you should wear a larger right shoe! But seriously, this shows how complicated ergonomics are. One still reads test reports from short journalists saying that a particular car will be perfectly comfortable for tall drivers and from tall journalists saying that it will be fine for short drivers, and often they have not really thought about it at all and are just imagining someone two inches taller or shorter than they are, which is not the point. One thing Morgan might work on is a system whereby the pedal box can be moved without the need for an acrobatic mechanic who does not suffer from claustrophobia to go head-first into the footwell. This would be particularly useful for a tall husband and short wife who both drive.

Modifying the pedals to have the throttle closer to the brake looks a fairly simple job: the throttle lever could be upright, like the brake and clutch, rather than angled about 30deg to the right.

Paul, maybe what you really need is a Triking, 360Kg, a real 100bhp or more from a trusty Moto Guzzi (and no transmission problems), they even do a wide body version with extra footwell space. The suspension is fully sorted, including the king pin angle. I have some regrets that I din't go with the Triking from a technical point of view. I like the looks of the Morgan more than the Triking and the S&S engine is lazy but great, I wouldn't have bought it with a Harley.
I still don't understand why Morgan don't fit a rear mudguard from new, it's easy and makes a big difference, saving weight maybe? Some Left foot space would be good and that chassis tube just where your heal sits is annoying.
