Set off from near Tring yesterday to the factory in the 4/4 visit courtesy of RTCC, up on the motorways, back across country via Evesham and around Oxford, where I briefly saw a Yellow Mog, driven by a bearded chap- was it you Graham? This morning it was back to Essex to finish of building the greenhouse!. Loverly driving all around
I am now thinking the factory is really a glorious manshed, Great Place.
Almost got knocked down by a Brooklands today in Ross on Wye - VX63 something. Was just walking around my new town (from 16 May) and had parked in the high street. Had a lovely drive down past Tintern on my trial run into Bristol. 44 miles and 59 minutes. Should now be doing 20k a year in the mog !
Risking showers on Saturday I set off for Drayton st Leonard, oxon, and the Aston Martin owners club museum rumoured to be somewhere in that village. Weather fair going up A40 through postcombe and Milton common, then bearing left over the M40 and on past great Milton (home of the 'Manoir') and in to stadhampton where you turn left. Drayton is the next right (dangerous) turn. The locals directed me to the address but didn't tell me the museum was closed on Saturdays. Came home to stokenchurch via benson and nettlebed and Christmas common, where it was raining hard. True it is that you don't get wet if you keep your speed up. Water gets in but you don't get wet. No classics about but two ladies on horseback I passed were waving enthusiastically (I think they were waving ).
Just back from a weekend at Road Atlanta. 80F and full sun Saturday and Sunday. 15 Morgans gathered in the infield, one more on the track - Stacey Schepens and her Twin Cam 4/4. The sights, the sounds, the smells, exciting racing, beautiful Morgans (and a few beers). It doesn't get much better than that!

Just Dublin and back for a board meeting -- 220 Kms -- really nice weather - roof down and Rachmaninoff blaring in my ear- just the antidote to people waffling on about not much!!!
Ah, so that's who waved! Just coming off that roundabout I was concentrating on traffic heading in same direction. Did briefly try to return your wave, but probably too late by then! Hope you avoided the downpour I had just come through on the east side of Oxford! Was on my way back from a group tour of the Maidenhead ATA exhibition and a prior visit to Millers in High Wycombe...
