Yes, I've been thinking about reducing the amount of shiny stuff on the boss.

I'd love to cut down the gear lever...as would Aldermog. But it widens right out to double it's diameter immediately below the gear knob fixing collar so you'd never get a knob on. The only option would be to turn the whole thing down in a lathe or construct a new lever.
The later Mazda boxes have a nice delicate lever.

I like your layout Jays!!

I like the smaller Brooklands wheel - mine was a larger diameter and kept rubbing against my groin whenecver I turned it - some say that that should be a standard fitting on all Morgans and advertised as a unique "morganesque" benefit - be that as it may, I was forced to change if for a smaller option

I found a nice shiny knob on eBay for "Ivory " - see pics, which fits, I I think it is a Momo, but you may feel it is definitely a No no

Cheers

Hello Jay,
That looks simply STUNNING! It looks totally
co-ordinated and importantly looks like it belongs---well done mate! A REAL VISUAL IMPROVEMENT.

Very nice John, as others have said a very coordinated look now. Did you decide to revert to the vertical alignment for the spokes, or are these early photos?

I'm in two minds about the alignment. It looks better as in the photos I think and whilst the rev counter appears obscured, in reality it still can be seen pretty clearly. But knowing me I'll keep trying it in the alternative position!

Rubbing groins and shiny knobs Jeremy? Just looked at "Ivory" and the knob looks very similar to the one now fitted to Morgans which I replaced.

This looks realy very good, Jays!
My compliments for how it all fits together nicely.
My only worry would be the readability of you rev counter, with the spokes at the top of the wheel.
With the speedometer out of site (i have similar lay out, as you have) i solely rely on the rev counter to limit the amount of speeding tickets...
Kind Regards,
BertR

Nice setup Jay! thumbs

I must say I do like my wheel and the free view it allows of the rev counter. With a Brooklands wheel I'm not sure I would go for the upright position of the arms.

While checking my own wheel's position immediately after I viewed your picture I noticed something funny. The center dashboard is not reversed from RHD cars to LHD cars. And this means you have the odometer closest to you, while I have it almost in front of ... my wife's eyes. LOL, Morgan got it wrong for me grin2

Here my dash so you see what I mean. Couldn't find a proper dash-picture so I took a screen capture of the Bussaco video.
