today, i went for the first service (1500km). did it with the mechanic at the dealers shop. put on some latex gloves and worked with him the check list. was interesting to do.
3,5h later, i drove back home. the only thing wich was not ok, was the upper-left-wishbone. sits not completly tight on the chassis!!! he is ordering a new one.
did also the ecm-test. need 20h more to open the engine fully.

Grüsszie!
My wishbones were like that early on. Made one hell of a racket.
I had to tighten them more than mechanically sound, but then they quietened down to an acceptable level. One just wonders why. Are the bushes too small or are they too weak?

today, i got the spacer back from powder coating. nice and cheap...23 swiss francs only. i also changed the crankcase breather. got rid of the short rubber hose (connection between crankcase and the air intake). closed the air intake with a screw. put a longer rubber hose with a small oil filter at the other end on top of the crankcase exit. pics come later :-)

I swissghost a question, it eliminates there a little engine knock, because I have a filter oil vapor for several months and Still not mounted. I hope that the installation of an oil cooler will make me lose a little rattling.

I have a question swissghost, I see what you have done but why? Is there a problem with the crankcase breather going into the air filter? Not experienced any problems with this on my car.

3 main reasons:

1. a v-twin engine needs clean and proper air to run! not air with oil-vapor! cuts down bhp...

2. take a look at the underside of the airfilter-housing. there is a intake-screw (inside the rubber pipe) with a very smal valve on it . this valve is so small (0.9mm), the air is mostly being blocked from escaping freely out of the cylinder and crank house. it's like a traffic jam....4 lanes coming into one lane.

3. a air filter has to be dry

conclusion:
clean the air this engine is breathing and enable the leaving air underneath the pistons to escape!

sory, but my technical english is not perfect.

Why do you need a oil filter there ?
