Thanks to all of you on this forum I actually managed to diagnose the well known failures and shortcomings(Compensator+Bevelbox) of my M3W. These were evident from the very beginning with the well documented noises that you all described and posted videos about on the forum.
I think all of us, even the dealers, who have taken delivery of the new M3W, have secretly been hoping that these design/mechanical issues would not affect our vehicles. But alas, since these failures stem from a inherent factory design and build fault there is no magic fix to them.
I hope to find a member on this forum who is also in the Munich/Germany area and who can advise me of the best solution-upgrade/service dealers in this location. Many thanks again to all of you. BB

Hi Atalante ! yes its a great ride ! Dampened only by the intermittent whistling and clanking of components that don't think so !

Welcome BBoy !
You've not mentioned how many miles you have, they do settle down after break in. Bear in mind there is no sound deadening anywhere, and this is a very mechanical vehicle ! You tube this : The Marvelous Toy - Peter, Paul and Mary
'It went "Zip" when it moved, and "Bop" when it stopped,
And "Whirrr" when it stood still.
I never knew just what it was and I guess I never will.'
And keep a sense of humor ... innocent

Tally Ho !
thumbs cheers

HaHa...Thanks Seeker....good attitude to have laugh2
I got 400 miles on the clock and the compensator started acting up at 100. Now I got also a whistling from the front and both are getting worse. But as you said...as long as its still moving and doesn't leave me stranded somewhere....I should be happy happy3 ....guess I was expecting too much british engineering perfection cheers

The whistling from the front may be a headlamp glass rattling. Just traced mine to the drivers side one. Yessss!! Was like a chirping as 2600 revs.

Good luck!

I'm also in Munich. You can take the car to dealers in Stuttgart or Hamburg here in Germany or Vienna in Austria. There are also some companies in Munich that have Morgan maintenance experience.

As long as it is still moving and until you get more miles on it don't worry about the noises. That's what the warranty is for!

Give me a shout if you want to do some Munich area dreiradfahren!
