Hi,
My Plus 8 35th Anniversary has 7x 16 stainless rims fitted. Does anybody know whether the Plus 8 center lock alu wheels fit? I might be able to buy a set of those wheels, but the center nuts are not available. Are those available today? Any idea of the price for the nuts? Anything else I should know? Is the spline and the threat of the hubs the same?

Thanks for any answer.

Martin

Hello Martin,

congrats to 'this' car! cheers

Try one rim on your car - they'should' fit, but i saw another Anniversary +8 where they didn't...

Those locking centre nuts are special to these rims & imho are only available used... give Andre Koopmann a try... thumbs

All the best,

Jochen

Hi Martin, I looked into doing this a few years ago but was told that the wings on a wire wheeled car were wider to accommodate the greater offset of the wheels. Perhaps someone can confirm?
The centre lock nuts, if I remember correctly, were £120 each at the time so I abandoned the idea. Perhaps it would be cheaper to convert to plus 8/ roadster alloys or swap with someone although you would have the same problem with the wing offset. The centre nuts look very similar externally to the Aero 8, can't help with the splines etc. I'm afraid.

Hi,

some news regarding the topic.
Yes the center lock wheels fit my plus 8 35th anniversary http://www.talkmorgan.com/images/icons/default/thumbs_up.gif

But only because my car has the 7 " x 16 wheels. The standard anniversary has 6" x 16. On those cars the wheels don't fit.

Another question:
Does anyone know the torque value for the center lock wheel nuts?
