Hi All,

I've been a Lotus Elise and Caterham driver for a while now, but at 53 (did I say that out loud....?) have come to the conclusion that something a bit easier to get in and out of might be a good investment :-).
So, I toddled down to Bell and Colvill to test drive a Roadster at the weekend...what a revelation, I loved it. Having been used to revvy 1.8k engines, the torque of the V6 is magic, and the ride, while being a bit "bouncy" over broken tarmac is really jolly nice.
There you have it then, about to take the plunge...am thinking of a Brooklands Edition...lovely looking thing!
And if you know of anyone who wants an S1 Sport 160 Elise, or a 160BHP Caterham (chassis up rebuild in 2009), then do let me know :-)

Welcome to the asylum, DD..

Got to say, I was mightily impressed during my brief whizz out in a Roadster. In fact, give it a few years maybe?

I'm a wheel short of the full ticket, so thinks like heaters and roof are wasted on me I'm afraid, but I have a huge amount of time for TM people. Friendliest around by a long mile.

Have a day out at the factory, soak up the experience and try as many as you can..

Enjoy choosing - try them all from 4/4 onwards(my 1600 Sigma is surprisingly nippy +50MPG!) - you`ll find one to suit you.

Welcome. Take the opportunity of trying them all - that's all part of the fun.
In the end I bet the car will choose you.

Welcome, from another (rather jealous) noob here.

Lots of interesting posts on the forum to digest, from helpful friendly folks.

I was treated to a run out in the Aldermog on Sunday and I must say I can see the V6 appeal. (I feel a bit more saving may be in order for me)
