I've been lurking on the forum for a while but have been persuaded by HJP to become a "proper" member. One thing that I noticed during my lurking phase is that there seem to be many, many problems with the MTW, ranging from the mildly irritating to the life threatening. I just wondered whether anyone who owns one has had absolutely NO problems at all.

I have not had any major problems so far. Just a somewhat expected bobbin shearing, once.

Welcome Mr Breeze

Last year at Thrill on the Hill, I spoke to several owners that had had no problems at all in one years ownership. Lucky bastards wink

Very rarely does a person take the time to post how reliable their car is, I believe this is due to the fact that they are out in it. drive

Life threatening bump steer, a new compensator and brake callipers under warranty.
Everything else ok so far.
I still go into the garage just to look at it, and occasionally I might just sit in it.
I know I'm sad but there you are.

One of the problems with any web based forums is that members do tend to log complaints but not bother to log when this are going well.
I had a number of problems with my new Morgan in the first 6 months, but I have now had 12 months trouble free fun. Wouldn't it get boring if most of the posts where just confirming all is ok.
