Has anyone come up with a simple clean way to at least moderately secure the trunk/boot?

Apologies if this has been covered before. Did a search but couldn't find a thread.

The Dzus fasteners confuse most people that I know.

Also, IMO removing the luggage rack will deter all but the most determined......

Aren't the Dzus fasteners on the Cowl? There, currently, is no way to lock the trun... I mean, that bit at the back where I put the bags from Tesco.

I agree about the Dzus fasteners !

Mind you I have been trying to think of an alternative arrangement as the holes in my leather straps have stretched making it all a bit loose .

I'm working on it. I only use the luggage rack for long journeys but now that I have done the bonnet mod I think the boot is next. There are however much better engineering minds on this forum than mine.

A locked Pelican case secured in the passenger footwell with a bicycle wire lock works for me.
No lock for the boot as such.

Could you do something with this by putting a notch in the arm to catch on a striker plate?
