Your obsession seems to be developing quite nicely.

Arghhhh the wait is painful.
The good news is just another week until I find out if it can be a reality?
Pity my first experience will be in Friday afternoon traffic I may have to take the scenic route home I guess!

I have been coming up with solutions in my noggin for my clutch foot (no seriously not surgery!) I have been told that the clutch return spring is intentionally a little strong so that you can rest your foot on the pedal. It works for me. When not there it is sort of tucked under the pedal.

Milligoon,
Your “journey” is almost a parallel of ours a year ago. You will buy a Morgan, the right one will find you. You have the bug, it is incurable.
We drove a couple of Richard’s stock and then hired a 4/4 car for a long weekend. The result? We were hooked. I thought I wanted a +4 but Richard didn’t have one we wanted. So a couple of weekends later we went, in the hired 4/4 over to Williams. The boss didn’t like the +4 we had thought we wanted. Her eyes set upon a deep blue, almost black Roadster. She took it for a ride. I did. We sat down with a mug of tea and the dogs and discussed it.
Extracts from the debate – I’m not admitting who said what!!
“It is above the budget” “I think it is wonderful” “Can we really spend £34K on a toy” “It will hold its value better than any other car so it isn’t really £34K” “We don’t need a car with all that power” “It sounds wonderful”
We told Paul we wanted it but couldn’t quite manage it. He moved his price a bit. So we added the door checks, Suplex suspension and something else I can’t remember. Back to his original price. Ho Humm.
Two weeks later we collected it. That is 4000 miles ago. As others have said the Morgan is as usable a car as any other 2 seat soft top. Yes, it needs/wants a bit more playing with than a really modern computer controlled car, but that is the charm.
I’m close to Salisbury, PM sent so if you’d like to come over and see/try Aldermog you are very welcome.
As to resting the left foot, I’ve found I can rest my leg on the transmission tunnel with my foot under my right leg, as long as the gear lever is not in 5th….! It is very comfortable but small thin-soled shoes are a must. I’ve got a pair of slip on moccasins that are perfect.

Morgan ownership is a funny thing: when I changed my Elan and MGB for my first Morgan in 83 I thought that I had made a terrible mistake and the car and I went through some rough times together but here I am with my current Plus Four all these years later, and have never looked back. I was changing the oil yesterday, lying on my back looking at the underside and realized that I was smiling. If that is a sad state of affairs so be it. I hope that you will experience the same pleasure.

Met Milligoon today.
Showed him what Roadster ownership means....think I may have started him on the route to V6 excess. No apologies, had to be done.
BTW, Quite impressed with the little Smart Roadster. Amazing what can be done with 700ccs, a turbo and imagination. Shame the cars were all sold at a loss.

Cheers Peter.
Nice to have more than a few questions answered.
As for the 3.0 V6 ooooh nice
It'll be great to see how the Plus 4 stacks up next week!
Added bonus the A30 was empty on the way home.
Thanks once more.
